XAUAT holds forum for global talent

The 10th "Yanta Scholars" Forum of Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) was held on Nov 25 in Xi'an, bringing together nearly 100 young scholars from more than 10 countries and regions to explore the forefront of academia and seek out cooperation opportunities.

The forum is an important activity for the school to recruit global talent, and a key measure to further promote the "Year of strengthening the school with talents" strategy.

At the event's opening ceremony, Gao Xukuo, XAUAT's vice-president, said in his speech that the university regards the forum as an important bridge to attract global talent. After 10 years of hard work, many young scholars have joined the school through this platform and grown into high-level talent at the national and provincial levels.

This year's forum adopted an "online + offline" talent introduction model, inviting young talent from home and abroad. The scholars conducted sub-forums in over 10 schools, including the school of architecture, civil engineering, and mechatronics engineering, focusing on in-depth exchanges in cutting-edge fields such as intelligent construction, green building, and artificial intelligence.

XAUAT is currently in a critical period of "Double First-class" construction and high-quality development. In 2025, the school plans to invest more than 100 million yuan ($14.14 million) in talent funding to promote talent attraction and education work.

With the strengthening of the forum brand and the implementation of related plans, the school is striving to create a new center for global talent gathering with a more open attitude, flexible mechanism, and superior ecology.
