The China International Travel Mart is Asia's largest and most influential professional travel exhibition, serving as the premier platform for showcasing the cultural and tourism offerings of China and the world.

CITM traces its origins to its inaugural edition in 2001. Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, it has been establishing a consistent and prestigious presence in the industry with more than two decades of development.

The exhibition has a proven track record of driving industry connections and business. Previous editions have consistently attracted participation from over 100 countries and regions, alongside comprehensive representation from across China. They regularly draw over 120,000 professional visitors and public attendees, facilitate hundreds of professional negotiations, and generate widespread media coverage, solidifying its role as an essential global tourism marketplace.

The 2025 edition will be held in December in Hainan, marking a strategic shift with its theme "Nihao! China" and an exclusive focus on developing the inbound tourism market. This year's event features a significant scale upgrade to approximately 65,000 square meters of exhibition space. A core innovation is the "1+5" exhibition zone layout, centered on a "Nihao! China" main hall and five thematic zones (Domestic, International, Sunshine Hainan, Culture & Tourism IP, Inbound Tourism Consumption), designed to present a complete ecosystem for inbound travel. To ensure tangible outcomes, the event will host over 800 pre-qualified overseas buyers for precision business-to-business matchmaking, complemented by a rich program including the "Hainan Night" promotion and product launch events.
