Hainan to host CITM 2025
Hainan is set to host the 2025 China International Travel Mart in its capital, Haikou, from Dec 19 to 21, with the last two days open to the public. This major international event is anticipated to attract tourism organizations and travel professionals from over 100 countries and regions, highlighting the island's diverse attractions.
A key feature of the mart is the expansive "Sunshine Hainan" exhibition pavilion. Covering a broad area, it centers on the theme "China's Free Trade Port, World's Resort Island". The pavilion offers immersive experiences rather than just traditional displays. A bustling bazaar will highlight local crafts, intangible cultural heritage like Li brocade, and regional foods. Various cultural performances, including traditional dance and opera, will bring the space to life, offering visitors an authentic taste of Hainan's rich cultural heritage.

The exhibition will thematically present the province's vast resources through six curated tour routes. These routes categorize the island's attractions into distinct experiences: From urban leisure and aerospace tours in the north to sunny coastal luxury resorts in the south, and from rainforest explorations and ethnic cultural sites in the central region to historical and archaeological adventures in the west.
Furthermore, the fair will emphasize Hainan's distinctive consumption features, especially its duty-free shopping policies and growing medical tourism industry. By combining policy presentations with cultural and scenic exhibits, the event seeks to present a comprehensive view of the island as a leading international tourism and investment destination, encouraging new global partnerships in the travel sector.
