The 2025 China International Tourism Mart concluded in Haikou on Dec 21, setting a new benchmark for global industry engagement, with record participation from 101 countries and regions.
Over 1,000 travel trade professionals convened across 65,000 square meters of exhibition space, enabling intensive business matching. Key announcements highlighted China's ongoing efforts to streamline inbound travel, including visa facilitation policies and expanded international flight connectivity.
The event also underscored the growing strategic importance of its host location. Discussions often tied future tourism growth to the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port, with its island-wide special customs operation viewed as a catalyst for broader regional tourism integration and investment.
