Exhibitors define future travel at CITM 2025 with novel offerings
At the 2025 China International Travel Mart, global companies took center stage by unveiling a new generation of tourism products. From cultural IPs to farm experiences, these innovations demonstrated how integrated models are moving from concept to market-ready reality, offering a tangible preview of travel's future.
At the Shaanxi exhibition zone, the cultural and creative brand Qinhanhan, developed based on the world's only captive brown giant panda Qizai, has entered the international market just over two years after its establishment, demonstrating the driving role of cultural IP in tourism consumption.
The Yiwu exhibition zone showcased the upgraded model of "tourism plus small commodities," developing themed shopping tourism routes to shift visitors from bulk purchasing to emotional and experiential consumption. This has transformed the traditional wholesale market into an integrated cultural and tourism scene.
Local enterprises in Hainan further extended the practical dimensions of "tourism plus" by transforming the production processes of tropical agriculture and fisheries into participatory tourism experiences, promoting the evolution of tourism from sightseeing consumption to a systematic experience encompassing cultural memory, industrial awareness, and lifestyle.
