Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park has achieved remarkable achievements in integrating culture and technology.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, the park has pursued high-quality development through a three-pronged strategy centered on content, supported by technology and rooted in ecology. This approach has resulted in leapfrog growth in cultural industry, leading to the park being recognized as a national-level cultural industry demonstration park. It recorded a total revenue of 277.1 billion yuan ($39.2 billion) and paid 14.815 billion yuan in taxes from 2020 to 2024.
Content innovation stands at the core of the park's development. Successful productions like Guardian of Jiefangxit and Boundless Quest have been created to resonate with modern aesthetics. Its cultural export platform has also expanded global reach, with Mango TV International covering 195 countries and regions, and "Singer 2024" recognized by UNESCO.
Technological innovation underpins the park's industrial growth. It built a leading domestic integrated cloud-network-computing platform and launched an intelligent short drama service platform. Its audio-visual lab associated with the park has filed over 150 patents, with digital technologies breathing new life into cultural relics and cultural tourism experiences.
The park also fosters a vibrant industrial ecosystem via initiatives like the Malan Colt Program, a startup incubation program. It has attracted over 4,800 registered enterprises, including more than 100 leading firms such as Huawei and NetEase, and gathered 64,000 professionals, forming a dynamic "rainforest ecosystem" that fosters sustained innovation.
