Vice Chairman MU Hong announced the theme of BFA AC2026

On January 16th, the Boao Forum for Asia New Year Outlook 2026 Seminar was held in Beijing. Mr. MU Hong, Vice-Chairperson of the CPPCC National Committee, China's Chief Representative to the BFA and Vice Chairman of the BFA, attended the Seminar and delivered a speech.

According to Mr. MU Hong, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the BFA. The development of the Forum cannot be achieved without the strong support of all our friends. The Chinese government attaches great importance to and actively supports the Forum. All parties should work together to contribute the Boao wisdom to promoting economic globalization and regional integration, and play an Asian role in building a comMUnity with a shared future for mankind. The theme of the BFA Annual Conference 2026 is Shaping a Shared Future: New Dynamics, New Opportunities, New Cooperation, which consists of four major thematic sections. A series of high-level dialogues, sessions and roundtables will be held. Old  and new friends are welcome to jointly discuss the reform of global economic governance and the Asia-Pacific regional cooperation.

As Mr. MU Hong stressed, the world economy is undergoing profound changes and accelerating transformation. Asia remains a stable driving force for the global economy, and its position as a global hub for development cooperation has become even more prominent. In the face of the ever-changing international situation and various risks and challenges, China's economy has maintained steady progress and is moving towards new directions and higher standards, demonstrating strong resilience and vitality. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China will continue to expand high-level opening-up, create a new situation of win-win cooperation, and share development opportunities with Asia and the world.
