Hancheng powers up for autumn harvest
State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power Co's Hancheng branch inspected 12 distribution transformers and 18 kilometers of low-voltage power lines in Xucun village, Hancheng, Shaanxi province, on Oct 8 to ensure a reliable electricity supply for the autumn harvest and the resumption of work after the National Day holiday.

With corn harvesting, drying, and threshing underway in Zhichuan town, demand for temporary electricity has risen, putting additional pressure on the local power grid.
Maintenance crews checked for potential hazards, including overheating equipment, obstructed power lines, and external damage. Staff members Yan Ruochen and Wang Pengfei also visited farms and grain-drying areas to inspect electrical wiring for threshing machines, temporary lighting, and drying equipment. They helped farmers address safety risks and provided guidance on safe electricity use and emergency repair services.
The special inspection campaign reached 79 rural households. Staff members distributed more than 100 safety information leaflets and identified and resolved 28 potential electrical hazards.
Meanwhile, dispatchers monitored grid loads in real time and adjusted operations to meet changing electricity demand, helping ensure a stable power supply for agricultural production and residents.
