Paperless service speeds up corporate applications
Driving the digital transformation of power services, State Grid Yulin Power Supply Company has launched a "zero-document" service model featuring "face-scan" applications for residents and "one-code" processing for businesses since the beginning of 2026, boosting efficiency by 60 percent and upgrading the local business environment.
Addressing common pain points such as cumbersome procedures and excessive paperwork, the company has leveraged government-enterprise data sharing and smart terminal upgrades to launch a "zero-document" service model, enabling residents to complete power applications via facial recognition in just five minutes and allowing businesses to register new connections in 10 minutes without submitting any paper materials.
"In the past, applying for power required days of paperwork and trips to the window just to ensure every seal and document was correct," recalled Yang Guangrong, business manager of Yulin Huineng Electric Power. "But for our new plant, the system automatically retrieved and filled in all our credentials using just our Unified Social Credit Code. The entire process from application to approval took less than 10 minutes with zero paper documents."
Liu Yinan, a staff member at the power service branch in Yuyang district, said: "The'zero-document' service not only makes things easier for residents and businesses, but it also significantly boosts our efficiency here at the counter."
"We are committed to optimizing this service so everyone can truly feel the convenience of digital power handling," Liu said.
To ensure the "zero-document" service model operates smoothly and effectively on a long-term basis, State Grid Yulin Power Supply Company has continuously upgraded its hardware and software systems, equipped its branches with smart service terminals, and regularly conducted training for front-line staff on business skills and service standards to guarantee the success of these convenience measures.
"We will continue to expand government-enterprise data-sharing scenarios and actively explore digital innovations, such as smart power supply planning and online inspections of customer engineering," said Xu Ze, business manager of the marketing department at State Grid Yulin Power Supply Company.
"Our goal is to refine our all-scenario smart service system — featuring 'convenient online processing and smart offline handling' — to contribute to Yulin's creation of a first-class business environment," Xu added.
