Huangsha Gudu Ecotourism Area
The Huangsha Gudu Ecotourism Area is a nationally recognized 4A-level tourist attraction, a national wetland park, and one of China's best ecological and leisure tourism destinations. Dating from the Ming and Qing dynasties, it is the most famous ancient ferry crossing on the Yellow Rivers. The mighty Yellow River runs through the Ningxia Plain, leaving behind numerous ferry ports in Ningxia. Huangsha Gudu is located 52 kilometers east of Yinchuan, on the east bank of the Yellow River. From here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of vast and boundless sand to the east, and an endless green field to the west across the river. The turbulent waters of the Yellow River flow northwards from here. The Huangsha Gudu scenic area showcases the vast desert landscapes, lush wetlands, picturesque scenery, and ancient charm of the meandering Yellow River.
