Yellow River Temple
The Yellow River Temple is located in Qingtongxia, Wuzhong, Ningxia. It was built with the purpose of showcasing the Ningxia people's love and admiration of and gratitude for the Yellow River. It also aims to promote the rich and traditional Chinese culture that emphasizes living in harmony with nature. The construction of the 65,000-square meter temple began in May 2010 and was finished by the end of April 2011. The design was created by Professor Feng Qinduo. This architectural marvel spans 999 meters in length and is 200 meters in width. It is situated between the Helan Mountains and the Niushou Mountain, with the Yellow River on the left and the Qingtongxia Gorge on the right. Looking down at the sacred altar of the Yellow River, visitors can observe the river and its beach forming a mesmerizing taichi diagram.
