The Department of Culture and Tourism of Ningxia is organizing various events to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Shuidonggou site. These events include academic conferences, activities, and exhibitions that aim to highlight the historical and cultural significance of the site and showcase archaeological research in Ningxia. Of them are the Shuidonggou Site Centennial Exhibition and the Ningxia Archaeological Achievement Exhibition unveiled on August 7th at the North Exhibition Hall of Chengtian Temple Tower Courtyard.

The Shuidonggou Site Centennial Exhibition details excavations, research, and achievements from the past 100 years. It is located in Exhibition Hall No 2, covering an area of about 400 square meters. The exhibition uses a semi-partitioned layout to showcase work related to specific periods through text, pictures, videos, and cultural relics.

The exhibition showcases the relentless pursuit of knowledge by archaeologists across different time periods and highlights the site's significance, raising awareness of cultural heritage preservation.

The Ningxia Archaeological Achievement Exhibition is held in Hall No 1, North of Chengtian Temple Pagoda Courtyard. It spans an area of approximately 400 square meters and showcases the achievements of Ningxia's century-old archaeological career.

The exhibition covers various aspects of archaeology, including prehistoric archaeology, archeology from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties and northern bronze culture in the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, as well as special projects such as cave temples, architecture, and the Great Wall.

There are 231 exhibits on display, providing a comprehensive overview of the research achievements in the origin, development, formation, and ethnic integration of Chinese civilization.
