The 2023 Helan Mountains Grape Wine Poetry Conference opened at Manpu Helan Performing Arts Town on September 11. 

The conference was organized back in June, and on July 26 it invited poetry submissions from across the country. Within 20 days, almost 600 submissions were received from over 30 provinces, with 130 from Ningxia.

Among them, 31 works were awarded, and 251 were selected for the "Compilation of Poems on Helan Mountains Wine". These works express sentiments and emotions using vivid imagery, showcasing the beauty of Helan Mountains and the charm of the wines produced there.

Awards ceremony

At the conference's awards ceremony, well-known recitation artists performed selected outstanding works. Additionally, cultural activities like word-filling, calligraphy, wine papermaking, and DIY wine labels were held, attracting many visitors to the grape town.

In recent years, Yinchuan, capital city of Ningxia, has been dedicated to promoting the grape wine culture of the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains to establish a Ningxia-style wine brand with international recognition.

The city has been exploring various formats and models, such as wine education, cultural tourism, sports, health preservation, leisure, and ecology, to develop a wine industry that is diverse and highly valuable.

The poetry conference has played a significant role in promoting Yinchuan's grape wine brand. The city said it will further integrate the resources of the grape wine industry with tourism, natural landscapes, and cultural heritage.
