On Dec 13, representatives from Nurobod district, Samarqand, Uzbekistan, and Shizuishan city in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, China, signed a memorandum on establishing an international friendly city-district relationship.

Samarqand is the second-largest city in Uzbekistan, acting as a renowned ancient city and a center for tourism and culture in Central Asia. It has also played a crucial role as a hub along the Silk Road, having the reputation of the "pearl of the ancient Silk Road."
Through the signing of this memorandum on establishing an international friendly city-district relationship, both parties will engage in various forms of exchange and cooperation in agriculture, economy, trade, science and technology, education, culture, and tourism, to promote shared prosperity and development.
Representatives from Nurobod district also conducted visits to Ningxia’s local enterprises, and highlighted that Nurobod and Shizuishan have many similarities in various fields, offering vast opportunities for cooperation between the two sides.
The responsible person of Shizuishan city in Ningxia expressed that the establishment of international friendly city-district relations between the two sides provides an important opportunity to strengthen communication, deepen exchanges, and enhance cooperation. Going forward, both sides will promote this cooperation to new heights.
