Runners will get the 2024 Ningxia Yellow River Golden Coast (Wuzhong) Marathon underway on Sunday. 

The route for this year's race will primarily follow the scenic section of Wuzhong Binhe Avenue. Runners will not only enjoy the race but also get a close-up view of the beautiful autumn scenery along the Yellow River and get a chance to soak up Wuzhong’s history, culture, natural beauty and customs.

Sunday’s event will highlight themes such as "Yellow River Eco-tourism", "Morning Tea Food Culture", and "Youthful Energy". It aims to showcase Wuzhong's four city brands: Pearl of the Yellow River; Beautiful Wuzhong; Loyal Wuzhong, Love at First Sight; Travel in Ningxia, Eat in Wuzhong; and Civilized Wuzhong, City of Volunteers. 

The goal is to lay on a high-quality, distinctive and iconic marathon that integrates sports with cultural tourism.
