During the National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 7, Xixia district in Yinchuan, Ningxia received a total of 1.68 million domestic and international tourists, an increase of 27.41 percent year-on-year, while tourist spending reached 1.03 billion yuan ($0.14 billion), a year-on-year increase of 27.6 percent.

The Xixia District Culture and Tourism Bureau teamed up with Lanzhou Railway to celebrate National Day with the opening of the Yinchuan-Hangzhou West and Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway routes, while events like the National Day parade and a choir performance boosted visitor enthusiasm, attracting up to 21,000 tourists in a single day.

Xixia District Library organized themed activities such as National Day film screenings, children's painting competitions and recitations of red classics. At Zhenbeibao Western Film City, a traditional costume market showcased ancient crafts, while Western Xia Imperial Tombs featured handmade cultural creations. Other attractions included moonlit fire pot, traditional iron flower casting and pottery making. These events integrated culture and intangible heritage into tourism, inspiring visitors' passion for traditional culture.
During the National Day holiday, the 4th China (Ningxia) International Wine Culture and Tourism Expo and RV Camping Equipment Conference were also held. The "Wine + Cultural Tourism" market activities promoted the cross-border integration of wine and tourism. Zhihuiyuanshi Winery became a popular destination, welcoming a total of 144,400 visitors over seven days and generating revenue of 1.92 million yuan ($0.27 million), marking year-on-year increases of 15.5 percent and 32.92 percent, respectively.
Both visitor numbers and revenue achieved "double breakthroughs", demonstrating strong momentum for the integration of wine and tourism.
