The results of the 2026 "Studying in China" Exemplary Cases in International Student Education Management were recently announced by the Association for International Education of the China Association of Higher Education.

Seven cases from the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) were recognized, covering all four categories: teaching innovation, management and services, cultural integration, and alumni achievement.

A total of 393 applications from 155 universities nationwide were submitted for this case collection. Following rigorous evaluation, 265 cases were ultimately selected.

The seven cases from BIT are grounded in the practice of its international student education and address the key areas including quality enhancement in international student instruction, cultural exchange activities between Chinese and international students, mental health support for international students, talent cultivation for the Belt and Road Initiative, and the career development of outstanding international student alumni. They have showcased BIT's innovative approaches, practical outcomes, and distinctive experience in the education and management of international students.

Zhang Laixiang, a professor from the BIT's School of Foreign Languages, attended the exchange event of the exemplary cases and delivered a keynote presentation on July 10. Zhang shared her insights on curriculum innovation models, collaborative mechanisms between Chinese and international students, and pathways for cultural communication. The presentation sparked an enthusiastic response from peers in attendance.

Moving forward, BIT will continuously improve the cultivation and management system for international students, develop more replicable models of international education, comprehensively enhance the quality of international student education, and steadily strengthen the brand influence of "Studying in BIT".
