Shandong Port Group (SPG), the world's largest port conglomerate in terms of cargo capacity, donated a batch of anti-epidemic materials to Weihai and Qingdao cities to help them fight against the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic.

Since the latest outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in Shandong, SPG has strengthened epidemic prevention and control measures to ensure the stable operation of its ports, and stronger port quarantine measures have been carried out to prevent the entry of pandemic.

As a large-scale State-owned enterprise located in Qingdao, SPG has made great contributions to Qingdao's social and economic development. With the support from the local government, SPG has achieved initial success in building it into an international shipping hub center in Northeast Asia.

Since the recent resurgence of COVID-19 across Shandong, SPG has paid closer attention to the epidemic situation and new developments in Qingdao. It sent a medical security team to  the frontline in fighting the city's COVID-19 outbreak on March 17, and donated medical supplies through various channels to support its anti-epidemic work.
