Shandong Port Group (SPG) successfully completed the first refrigerated dangerous goods SOC transaction, thereby launching the new logistics channel connecting Yantai in Shandong province and South Korea.

Shandong Port Land-sea International Logistics Group and Shandong Port Shipping Group, both SPG subsidiaries, jointly operated the new logistics channel.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the global shipping sector has experienced a significant negative impact, and the rising cost of shipping containers has plagued its customers. In order to solve theses problems, SPG launched an innovative plan for the smooth operation of SOC business. Thanks to the group's continuous efforts, the first 40 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) SOC containers were shipped to South Korea on April 12, and returned to Yantai Port on April 17, providing tailor-made services to its customers.

SPG will continue to make full use of its advantages, and develop new logistics modes, in a bid to promote the smooth and quick flow of imports and exports.
