The cargo ship Hamburg Highway, which was loaded with 1,137 exported vehicles, headed to the Middle East from Yantai Port, a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group (SPG), on May 16, marking the official launch of the Yantai - Middle East foreign trade ro-ro (roll-on roll-off) shipping route.

The new route is expected to help Yantai Port expand its international route network, and will offer richer choices of export channels for SPG's customers.

In recent years, Yantai Port has made great efforts to promote its hardware facilities, and upgrade operation procedures. The port has also introduced more innovative measures to improve transport efficiency and reduce logistics costs, which have benefited more enterprises and helped the port boost high-quality development.

In the future, Yantai Port will focus on the improvement of the port's functions, logistic network and multi-modal transportation in order to build a wider platform for Chinese vehicle brands, and make greater contributions to helping build SPG into a world-class port group.
