Recently, the first containers of coal transported by railway containers arrived at Guangli Port, Bohai Bay Port Group, a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group (SPG), and will be delivered to the coal-based chemical enterprises in Fujian province, marking the official opening of a new multimodal transport service launched by Bohai Bay Port.

Since it started operations in September 2017, Guangli Port has made remarkable achievements in promoting the development of a modern multimodal transport logistics system. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the original transportation route capacity was hampered by the epidemic. In order to seize opportunities and provide premium services to its customers, Guangli Port boosted the multi-model container transportation of coal development combing a series of approaches. The port has drawn up a tailor-made service system for its customers, which is fast, flexible and cost-effective. The launch of the new multimodal transport service is expected to develop the port into an important transfer base for raw materials in Zhejiang and Fujian provinces.
