The cargo ship Huanghai Pioneer, which packed full of 15,900 metric tons of equipment and materials, set sail from Yantai Port, a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group (SPG), and headed for Kenya and Tanzania in Africa on Sept 20, which was the 66th voyage completed by the China-Africa two-way logistics channel at Yantai Port this year.

According to official statistics from the port, since this year, the China-Africa two-way logistics channel at Yantai Port recorded a total of 10 voyages per month, hitting a new record, with a cumulative export delivery volume of 1.35 million tons, an increase of 104.7 percent year-on-year.

Supported by the "China-Africa Two-way Logistics Golden Channel", Yantai Port has sped up its pace in transforming into an key logistics node serving the dual-circulation new development pattern, in a bid to help more Chinese products enter the global market, promote the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and boost economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa.

With the support of SPG, Yantai Port has developed an innovative model to promote the collaboration between ports and logistics groups, and launched tailor-made services for its customers. Both of which have optimized and upgraded its one-stop service network, as well as helped customers save on logistics costs.

In recent years, Yantai Port has responded actively to SPG's call to promote integrated development, and continues to accelerate the construction of the "China-Africa Two-way Logistics Golden Channel", aiming to help SPG create a world-class smart and green port.
