Rizhao Port, a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group (SPG) in Shandong province, held the 2023 symposium for major clients from Shanxi, Shaanxi and Henan provinces on March 10.

China Railway Jinan Group Co signed a mutual insurance agreement with 10 enterprises from the three provinces during the event.

SPG and China Railway Jinan Group plan to further promote the adjustment of the transportation structure and build convenient shipping passages in the three provinces. They also plan to meet the transport needs of major enterprises and promote a new high-quality development pattern.

Both groups intend to give full play to the important role of railways in the modern comprehensive transportation system and build a modern infrastructure system.

Based in the flourishing Yellow River Basin, SPG intends to optimize its services, create an efficient and convenient logistics channel along the river, which is conducive to the implementation of national strategies regarding ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, and speed up China's modernization.

Since SPG implemented integrated reforms, Rizhao Port has built the country's first coastal railway port collection and distribution center. Last year, the railway haulage volume exceeded 100 million tons for the first time, ranking first among coastal ports in China.
