Shandong Port Group (SPG) held a promotion conference and unveiling ceremony for the establishment of Panzhihua Inland Port in Sichuan province on April 25, where it also signed a series of strategic cooperation agreements.

The event aimed to further amplify the functions of port hubs and platforms, expand the service scope, as well as contribute to the joint development between Sichuan and Shandong province.

Shandong Port is the only sea outlet in the Yellow River Basin and plays an important role in jointly building a logistics channel along the basin. Currently, efforts are being made to create a "first-class supply chain comprehensive service system based on ports", improve service levels and core competitiveness, promote the connection of four ports, as well as accelerate the construction of "double first-class" enterprises.

SPG will use this event as an opportunity to build a comprehensive service platform integrating logistics chains, industrial chains, supply chains, information chains, and capital chains, as well as to develop port logistics parks and chain industrial parks.

It also plans to accelerate the construction of a regional logistics hub with complete functions and strong radiation capability, attract high-end port industry clusters. SPG also intend to build an open and large channel hub to provide strong guarantees for enterprises in Sichuan and western regions to enter overseas markets and contribute to the high-quality development of Sichuan.
