Shandong Port Group (SPG) held a promotion conference in Chongqing, as well as the unveiling ceremony of Chongqing Inland Port and Shandong Port Logistics Group's Chongqing branch on April 24.

During the event, the group's officials expressed hopes that it can work together with Chongqing to better serve the construction of the new land sea channel in the western region, promote the new development of land sea linkages, smooth the domestic and international dual circulation, as well as boost the mutual development of Chongqing and Shandong.

In recent years, SPG has made efforts to engage in national strategies, such as the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, as well as the construction of new land-sea passages in the western regions.

In addition, SPG has opened trains, built land ports, and expanded supply sources, aiming to build a first-class supply chain integrated service system relying on ports. It also has played an active role in building supply chain hubs, improving comprehensive service capabilities, maintaining the stability of industrial chains and supply chains, optimizing modern comprehensive transportation systems, as well as promoting balanced regional development.

Chongqing is located in the strategic hinterland of the Maritime Silk Road and the starting point of the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe International Railway Corridor. The city boasts the only national logistics hub with diversified types in China.

Since the launch of their strategic cooperation in 2021, SPG and Chongqing International Logistics Park have made significant progress in cooperation covering modern finance, channel construction, as well as coordinated development in the central and western regions.

SPG also plans to provide comprehensive logistics, finance, trade, and shipping supply chain services, helping Chongqing build a comprehensive national logistics hub.
