A fully loaded Jinfeng 5 container vessel arrived at Qingdao Port on May 29 and marked the opening of the Qingdao-Qinhuangdao transport route.

The Shandong Port Group (SPG) Qingdao Port is the fourth largest port in the world in terms of throughput. The Hebei Port Group (HPG) Qinhuangdao Port is an advanced dry bulk cargo port and an important hub for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Advanced Urban Agglomeration and the Bohai Rim Advanced Port clusters.

The two ports are aligned in multiple development strategies and have a cooperative relationship. In March 2023, Shandong Port Group and Hebei Port Group signed the strategic cooperation agreement and jointly operated the Qingdao-Qinhuangdao route.

This route is connected to the QQCTU terminal of Qingdao Port, and will be serviced by two ships making two round-trip trips every week.

The opening of the route will strengthen the Shangang Express (FES) route network and provide customers around the Bohai Gulf area with a low-cost, more efficient, and better two-way maritime logistics channel, thus enhancing production and business exchanges.
