The 30th session of the East China Fair (ECF), the largest annual regional trade fair in Shanghai, recently came to a close.

A total of 90 enterprises based in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province participated in the fair, accounting for 10 percent of the total from the province.

This year, the ECF held its exhibitions online for the first time due to the COVID-2019 epidemic.

This year's fair provides 24-hour online foreign trade platform services and has five sub-exhibitions to showcase commodities such as clothing and garment accessories, home textiles and fabrics, household products, decorations and gifts, and modern-lifestyle products.

Huzhou businesses uploaded a total of 1,422 products to the official website and reached intended deals valued at $13 million in total during the five-day event.

Meanwhile, the matchmaking conferences held in the previous editions were also moved online this year. Nineteen businesses from the city were invited to participate in 47 matchmaking negotiations.

The ECF, which is held in Shanghai every March, is supported by the Ministry of Commerce and co-organized by nine provinces and cities including Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Nanjing and Ningbo.
