Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, launched a series of promotional events to encourage residents to participate in cultural activities and travel around the country, local media reported on July 27.

The 56 different types of events will go on for three months.

For example, people booking tickets to shows and cultural exhibitions on Damai, an online ticket service platform, can enjoy special offers after spending a certain amount of money. People planning their trips on Fliggy, Alibaba's online travel service provider, can also receive a miniature mascot and Hangzhou specialties as a bonus.

Markets responding to the central government's call to boost the night economy are hoping to attract food lovers, while multiple travel routes highlighting nighttime riverside scenes, as well as indoor spaces such as wildlife parks, libraries, and museums, are expected to enrich the night life of local residents.

In addition, intangible cultural heritage items, some of which are centuries old, will be featured in various activities so that locals can learn more about them.
