The results of the integration of market regulation in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) were announced during a meeting on market supervision in Jiashan, a county in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province on Aug 26.

Jiaxing is a demonstration zone for the eco-friendly integrated development of the YRD.

These results were related to the creation of a "Satisfied Consumption in YRD" brand, integration in market access, standards, intellectual property rights, network supervision, certification, accreditation, inspection and testing, law enforcement collaboration, and coordination of food safety supervision.

Shanghai and the provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui have established a mechanism on product quality information to strengthen the collection, analysis and sharing of product quality risk information and results of supervision and random inspections.

They have also established an expert resource pool comprising 116 institutions and 428 experts in the fields of electric products, food, chemical engineering, fiber and textile to enhance the sharing of technologies in market supervision.

The three provinces and Shanghai have also signed seven cooperation agreements and memorandums on technological integration of market supervision, integration of anti-monopoly law enforcement, unified electronic business License, Green Product certification, proficiency verification of inspection and testing institutions, and consumer complaint.
