Diplomats from nine countries discussed about the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) and global cooperation matters at a meeting held in Jiaxing on Sept 9, local media reported.

During the meeting, Jiaxing municipal authorities introduced their progress in advancing YRD integration and new ways of boosting international exchanges and the situation of the Jiashan zone of YRD eco-friendly integration.

The consul generals of Austria, Finland, Germany and India in Shanghai, as well as the commercial consuls of Belgium and Singapore in Shanghai delivered speeches themed around how these countries can conduct win-win cooperation with Jiaxing to contribute to the integration efforts of the YRD.

The meeting is part of the two-day "Jiaxing integrated development and global cooperation" series, during which 18 diplomats from Austria, Finland, Germany, India, Belgium, Denmark, Israel, South Korea and Singapore explored ways of deepening cooperation with Jiaxing.

Moving forward, Jiaxing will step up efforts to promote integrated development and international cooperation in its bid to become a transportation, cultural and innovation hub in YRD.
