Zhoushan, Ningbo cooperate to advance regional integration

Trade promotion councils from Zhoushan and Ninbgo signed an integrated trade development agreement on Sept 11, meaning more resources from Ningbo will be poured into Zhoushan, local media reported.

The agreement states that the two cities will jointly establish international business cooperation platforms.

The two cities will launch the China (Ningbo)-Central and Eastern Europe Conference on International Business Cooperation and establish a liaison office of the China-Central and Eastern European Countries Business Council in Ningbo.

They will also jointly establish a foreign capital utilization platform and participate in the Belt and Road Global Chambers of Commerce and Associations Conference.

The two sides will organize companies of emerging industries in the two cities to attend exhibitions at home and abroad, further improve existing exhibitions in the two cities such as the Zhejiang Import Commodities Exhibition and China Putuo Buddhist Cultural Tourism Supplies Expo, and plan to hold home appliance and auto part exhibitions in Ningbo.

The Zhoushan and Ningbo governments will share their bilateral or mutilateral cooperation mechanisms with universities, companies, and law firms as well as judiciary, arbitration, and mediation institutions.

Song Xiaobin, chairman of the Zhoushan trade promotion council, said that the integrated development will promote the smooth flow of capital, labor and technologies between Zhoushan and Ningbo.

Song promised to offer more efficient services to facilitate cooperation and exchanges between the two cities.
