The Angel Environmental Technology Smart Park began operating in Binhai New Area, Shaoxing, Zhejiang province on Oct 21.

It is the world's largest specialized industrial park for water purifiers.

Shenzhen-based Angel Group plans to invest over 5 billion yuan (approx. $750 million) to build a high-end manufacturing and global R&D center in Shaoxing.

"The one currently operating is only the first-phase and cost around 1 billion yuan. The other two will be producing 10 million sets of water purifiers per year within the next three years," said Shen Jun, vice general manager of the group's environmental technology branch.
