The fourth Hangzhou Entrepreneurs Convention opened in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, Oct 23, local media reported.

The first of its kind to have both online and offline editions, the event aimed to help Hangzhou entrepreneurs reach out to more people, develop their own brands, and seek win-win results with the city.

A group of entrepreneurs, chambers of commerce and companies received awards at the event, including Zhong Shanshan from Nongfu Spring Co, Li Shufu from Geely Automobiles, Zhang Yong from Alibaba Group, and Jing Xiandong from Ant Group.

Zong Qinghou, chairman of the leading beverage-maker Hangzhou Wahaha Group, said the development of all companies lies in innovation.

"Wahaha was founded 33 years ago but we still highlight innovation and strive to discover new development possibilities," Zong said.

"We've changed our goal from making safe drinks to healthy drinks, and we want to play a part in promoting healthy lifestyles for Chinese people."

Keynote speeches, roundtable discussions and all kinds of themed activities were carried out on the sidelines of the event.
