The 3rd Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo (YRDICIE) was launched at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on Nov 19 and will last until Nov 22.

The expo, held in Shanghai every year, was initiated in 2018 by the culture authorities of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces and Shanghai municipality, which make up the Yangtze River Delta.

Over 1,000 exhibitors attended this year's expo, 10 percent more than last year. Among them were around 160 Zhejiang-based culture enterprises, which occupied a total exhibition area of 2,200 square meters.

The expo's Comprehensive Development Section featured well-known enterprises from across the nation focusing on publishing, printing, radio, film, television, news, new media, cultural tourism, and many other areas.

In cooperation with the culture department at the South Korean consulate-general in Shanghai, the China-Britain Business Council, Thailand's Ministry of Culture, and other foreign institutes, this year's expo managed to enroll more than 100 foreign exhibitors at its Overseas Elite Section, despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
