The 4th China Majin Tofu Festival is scheduled to be held in Majin, a town in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Nov 2, marking the opening of Zhu Xi Cultural Park, local media reported on Oct 28.

Festival goers may experience the tofu making in an ancient way: grinding the soybeans with traditional stone mill and boiling the starch in an iron pot made by old blacksmith in the town.

They may savor various delicacies made out of tofu, including dried tofu strips salad, beancurd jelly, braised Chop with bean curd sheets, and stir-fried soybean curb residues with diced preserved meat.

Visitors may also learn how to stitch a perfume satchel guided by local experienced satchel makers.

In addition, a group of special folk activities will also be organized during the festival, such as stilt walking and grass dragon dance, and masters of celadon porcelain and steamed sponge cake making will be invited to show their skills to visitors.

Zhu Xi Cultural Park, named after a neo-Confucian in Song Dynasty (960-1279), is constructed based on the gardens in South China and will serve as an entertainment place for local residents.
