Quzhou's smart manufacturers get into high gear during break

There are 63 enterprises in Quzhou Smart Industry New Town – located in Quzhou city, in East China's Zhejiang province – and during the recent Spring Festival holiday, orders relating to 5G and for new energy vehicles chips zoomed in and manufacturers moved into high gear.

"All of the company's production lines are running at full capacity and orders are booked until April," said one company spokesman.

On the afternoon of Feb 17, at the workshop of Jinruihong Technology (Quzhou) Co Ltd in Quzhou Smart Industry New Town, workers in purification suits, gloves, hair nets and masks, were hard at it in the dust-free purification workshop.

In order to ensure the production of the local businesses in Quzhou during the holiday, 17 enterprise communities were set up under the jurisdiction of the industry new town to provide liaison and advice  services to ensure safety in production.

To be certain of normal production during the break, Jinruihong Technology launched staff initiatives.

"On the basis of tripling the statutory salary, the company will give 700 yuan ($108) per day to those who did shift work during the holiday and 500 yuan per day to those who were on duty without work shifts," a company spokesman said.

Zhang Yuxin, from Xinzhou city in North China's Shanxi province works for Jinruihong Technology, as does his wife.

"The benefits from the company were great," Zhang said.

"Apart from the subsidies, there were also big bonus for the Chinese New Year. Everyone was willing to stay back and remain at their positions."
