Quzhou – located in East China's Zhejiang province – was awarded the appellation of 2020 Safe City, in recognition of it achieving significant results in building its urban brand as the "Home of Southern Confucianism · A Model City of Virtue", according to local media on March 30.

The city has won the award in the category for 15 consecutive years.

The Quzhou municipal Party committee and the city's municipal government has reportedly been consistent in implementing the work requirements issued by the Zhejiang provincial Party committee and government.

They have been seen as being instrumental in helping create a safe environment for the overall economic and social development of the entire city.
