Yudong village in Kecheng district, Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province recently made the 2021 list of national model villages for leisure tourism development, bringing the total number of such villages in the city to six.

More than 300 out of about 800 residents from the village create paintings during their spare time. Among them, six were recognized as provincial outstanding folk art talents.

Companies introduced by the village have developed a dozen varieties of cultural and creative products based on farmers/ paintings, such as silk scarves, backpacks and umbrellas, creating additional income for villagers.

In addition, the five other villages that received the honor were Xunli village in the county-level city of Jiangshan, Huangtan village in Changshan county, as well as Longmen village, Xiayu village, and Jinxing village in Kaihua county.
