Jiang Yamin, a 28-year-old girl from Jiangshan, a county-level city in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, is seeking her fortune in the agricultural machinery service industry.

Jiang first drove a cultivator in 2014 and found that there is a large market for professional agricultural machinery services. She earned over 100,000 yuan ($1,571.35) that same year from a 1,000-mu (66.67-hectare) agricultural machinery service order.

With her first bucket of gold, Jiang started the Yamin family farm and planted more than 140 mu of rice in 2015.

In 2021, the farm's rice-growing area expanded to more than 800 mu and was equipped with seven types of agricultural machinery equipment, including tractors, harvesters, rice transplanters and UAVs. The service area for the agricultural machinery exceeded 2,000 mu, which generated a total annual income of more than 400,000 yuan.

This year, Jiang bought a fertilizing UVA for 57,000 yuan to help with farm work. Advances in agricultural science and technology have made the job easier, said Jiang.

"I am confident about the future of grain-growing", Jiang said. In recent years, China has attached heavy importance to agriculture, rural areas and farmers, she added.
