The Quzhou government cut 6.45 billion yuan ($956.17 million) in taxes and fees in the first half of this year, local media reported on July 30.

It issued 4.39 billion yuan in tax rebates and delayed over 1.42 billion yuan in tax payments and offered a total of 635 million yuan in tax and fee reductions.

As a leading enterprise in the city's door industry, Zhejiang Wufu Doors Co Ltd has more than 300,000 sets of wooden doors shipped overseas through Zhoushan Port every year. To date, the company has received 3.23 million yuan in tax refunds for exports from the local government due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Liuchun Lake Tourism Resort closed for nearly two months in the first half of this year. However, the company enjoyed more than 25 million yuan in value-added tax refunds this year, said He Xiaoqing, financial director of Zhejiang Liuchun Lake Culture and Tourism Development Co Ltd.

With the help of the preferential policies, the resort increased publicity and received more than 48,000 tourists in the first six months, generating 8.65 million yuan in operating revenue.
