Mohammed Azaruddin from Sri Lanka has lived in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, for 15 years.

In 2006, he fell in love with Yang Zhijuan, a girl from Quzhou traveling in Dubai. In 2007, he came to Quzhou and married Yang.

"I like the food in Quzhou very much and get used to eating spicy food, especially duck head, rice cake and dried rice noodles," said Azaruddin.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Azaruddin became a volunteer and made meals for other volunteers. In addition, he asked his friends to purchase a batch of epidemic prevention materials from Nepal.

In the past 15 years, Azaruddin has witnessed the changes the city has undergone. "In 2007, when I first came to Quzhou, the Quzhou intelligent manufacturing park was desolate. Now it is full of high-rise buildings."

"I love this city dearly, and like every local, I look forward to a better future for it," said Azaruddin.
