Two enterprises in Quzhou, Zhejiang province were recently included on the 2022 list of substantial living source renewable resource recycling enterprises in Zhejiang released by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce.

The two enterprises were Huge (Quzhou) Environment Co Ltd and Zhejiang Hongye Supply and Marketing Renewable Resources Co Ltd.

Huge (Quzhou) Environment Co Ltd explored a new type of garbage sorting and recycling of renewable resources, establishing a closed-loop industrial chain including garbage classification, collection, transportation, sorting, recycling and reuse.

The Huge recycling network currently covers 512 communities and 184,300 urban residents in the city. A total of 121 community service stations were established, 23 special intelligent logistics transport vehicles were put into use, and a digital sorting center covering an area of 11,000 square meters was built.

As of Dec 31, 2021, Huge had collected 12,497 metric tons of household waste and a total of 8.62 million yuan ($1.19 million) in environmental protection funds had been issued to residents.

Zhejiang Hongye Supply and Marketing Renewable Resources Co Ltd in Jiangshan is engaged in renewable resource recycling, sorting (including household waste classification), processing and trading.

The company currently has one sorting center, 19 recycling locations (including urban and rural areas), 12 urban service stations, and 12 purchase and distribution points. In 2021, the company recovered 35,819 tons of waste materials and generated 67.46 million yuan in sales.
