Per capita disposable income of rural residents in Quzhou up 8.4% in Q1-3

The per capita disposable income of rural residents in Quzhou, Zhejiang province reached 24,461 yuan ($3,349.14) in the first three quarters, a year-on-year increase of 8.4 percent, the highest growth rate in the province.

This year, the city's enterprises above designated size have created 10,843 jobs for local farmers to help increase their incomes.

More than 40 leading agricultural enterprises in Kecheng district have encouraged 1,938 farmers to develop their agricultural industries, resulting in an increase in per capita income of more than 3,400 yuan.

Changshan county has expanded its grapefruit industrial chain to help 26 villages increase their average incomes by 150,000 yuan, benefiting more than 1,000 local farmers and increasing the per capita annual income by 50,000 yuan.

Meanwhile, the city has promoted rural land transfers. This year, 77,800 mu (5186.67 hectares) of land has been transferred, bringing 46.68 million yuan in income to farmers.

In addition, Qingquan village in Qinghu sub-district, Jiangshan city, leased 43 idle rural houses to nearby enterprises, generating an annual rental income of more than 500,000 yuan.
