Quzhou sees robust economic growth in Q1-3

The GDP of Zhejiang province's Quzhou totaled 142.78 billion yuan ($19.92 billion) in the first three quarters of this year, an increase of 4.2 percent year-on-year, according to the Quzhou statistics bureau.

During this period, investment in the city's high-tech industry, manufacturing industry and private projects increased by 116.9 percent, 56.5 percent, and 27.6 percent, respectively.

In the first three quarters of this year, the added value of the city's industrial enterprises above designated size reached 44.09 billion yuan, a rise of 7.4 percent year-on-year.

From January to September, the total retail sales of social consumer goods in the city amounted to 61.56 billion yuan, up 4.4 percent year-on-year and 3.1 percentage points higher than in the first half of the year.

Meanwhile, the per capita disposable income of urban residents in the city was 44,598 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.9 percent, while that of rural residents was 22,461 yuan, up 8.4 percent year-on-year.

The per capita income ratio of urban to rural residents was 1.823, a decrease of 0.043 compared with the same period last year. The growth rate of farmers' incomes in the city has been among the top three in the province for the past nine years.

In addition, the output value of the agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery industries in the city stood at 9.02 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 4.2 percent and leading to an increase in rural residents' operating incomes.
