A sturgeon industrial chain with an output value of 340 million yuan ($48.85 million) in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, has helped the city achieve common prosperity.

Quzhou Xunlong Aquatic Food Technology Co Ltd, established in the city in 2009, has formed an entire sturgeon industrial chain including sturgeon breeding, processing, exports, catering and tourism.

The production base built by the company in the city is currently the largest sturgeon breeding base in Asia, covering an area of 1,000 mu (67 hectares). It has provided jobs for more than 150 local farmers, increasing their annual incomes to over 6 million yuan.

The annual income of ordinary farmers involved in sturgeon breeding can reach up to 100,000 yuan, and that of large-scale family farms can exceed 300,000 yuan.

In addition, the company's caviar output accounts for about one-third of the total global market supply, and its export value accounts for nearly 70 percent of the national total.

In recent years, Kaluga Queen Caviar produced by the company has been served at many important occasions, including the G20 banquet and Oscar Awards Ceremony, and has entered the supply chain of Lufthansa Airlines.

This year, Kaluga Queen Caviar was selected to be served to first-class passengers of Singapore Airlines flights.
