The first snow fell in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on Nov 30.

The cold wave turned Liuchun Lake Tourism Resort into a crystal-white world with sparkling rime appearing on trees across the mountain.

Rime is a special type of frost — granular tufts of ice that appear only when atmospheric conditions are right and warm water vapor meets colder air.

From a distance, the mountain seems to be covered in fluffy white blanket, giving it an elegant winter beauty.
