Jiangshan, a county-level city in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, will host the National New Year Mountain Climbing and Fitness Conference on Jan 1, 2023, according to a recent announcement by the General Administration of Sport of China.

This is Jiangshan's 7th year hosting the event.

The climbing event is the first nationwide fitness activity to be held in China every year.

In addition to Jiangshan as the main venue this year, Zhangjiajie in Hunan province will serve as a venue.

A series of activities will be held in the main venue of Jiangshan, including climbing, winter events, extreme sports and outdoor safety education. Meanwhile, national fitness competitions such as winter swimming and fishing will also be held.
