The first commercial C919 domestic large passenger aircraft completed its first flight on Dec 9.

As one of the suppliers, Zhejiang Gerui New Materials Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Juhua Group in Quzhou, has provided the aircraft with fluorine-containing aviation plastic products.

The C919 is a large passenger aircraft developed by China in accordance with internationally accepted airworthiness standards.

Founded in Dec 2010, Gerui is a national high-tech enterprise. It has developed three series of products with independent intellectual property rights, including fluorine-containing film and composite materials, modified fluoropolymer ultrafine powder and fluorine-containing high-end products, which are mainly used in new energy, aerospace, automobiles, building decorations and the modification of functional materials.

In 2020, commissioned by COMAC, Gerui organized technical research to promote the development of fluorine-containing aviation plastic products, and completed the production of PTFE sheets and original profile products for aviation, nylon cushion clamps and other products, ensuring the completion of the aircraft.
