The first German Amaris all laser myopia surgery equipment was set up at the Yiwu Aier Eye Hospital on July 11. An opening ceremony and academic exchange meeting to discuss refractive cutting-edge technology were also held.

Amaris full laser myopia surgery is a new type of surface cutting which avoids any physical contact with the eye. It has won the European Medical Design Excellence Awards and many other honorary awards. The introduction of this technology has made Yiwu Aier Eye Hospital the clinical application base of smart laser in Yiwu.

"The laser spot in this procedure is only about half a millimeter, which can correct the visual disturbance caused by images like 'high order aberration', one of the causes of blurred vision," said Dr Chen Xiaohua, director of the Refractive Surgery Center of Aier Eye Hospital.
