"You can take the necessary materials to a service window of the Yiwu taxation administration and complete the procedure in just several minutes," said Li Yingyan, an accountant at a commercial trading firm based in Yiwu, Zhejiang province, who recently handled the administrative procedures needed to transfer her company to Suzhou, Jiangsu province.

"Before, I would have to personally go to the taxation administration of the city my firm is relocated to, and the process could take as long as 10 days," Li added.

Now, a more convenient administrative service for companies looking to transfer to another province has been formed by taxation authorities across the Yangtze River Delta region, which includes Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, and Shanghai. The process now takes just one working day, down from the previous five to 10 working days. 

As of the end of June, a total of 89 enterprises across the Yangtze River Delta region had completed an inter-provincial transfer through the new administrative procedures.

The State Taxation Administration put forward 16 concrete measures to serve the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region at the end of 2019. All of the measures have now become a reality, with six of them achieving their intended goals.
